Launch of SH L!ve 20:20

Silverstone 2020

What is SHLive?

Collaboration, Learning, Sharing

2019 saw the launch of the first collaborative showcase of innovation in health, safety and well-being exclusively for the highways sector. As part of our industry drive to promote collaboration to achieve better health, safety, and wellbeing within our sector, SAFER HIGHWAYS announced a brand new event for 2019. The showcase presented a unique opportunity for delegates to not only hear about but also see and experience what our peers are doing to innovate with the common goal of keeping those who work and travel upon our roads safe and well.

Further information and details of how to be involved in SH L!ve 20:20 will be released on Tuesday 1st October.

Fantastic day at the SHLive event meeting and discussing ideas with the top leaders in the industry. Have to pinch myself how fortunate I have been to be able to do so! So inspiring to see how they are addressing similar issues, receiving thier advice and seeing the great job the construction industry and highways are doing in addressing health and safety issues! The sector does not get the credit it deserves with how much they are investing and undertaking! #inspiring #event #greatjob
Really enjoyed #shlive. Big well done to everyone involved in setting up the event, those that took part whether facilitating the theatres, speaking passionately about topics that matter to them, or hosting exhibition areas. For the inaugral event, fantastic turnout and great to meet new faces and re-connect with familiar ones.
Fantastic day at SHLive at Silverstone. Inspirational speakers in the Amey Well-being Theatre. Some ideas to take away, some research to do.
Just got back from Safer Highways Live - a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Besides seeing a few familliar faces, the highlights for me were:
- Seeing WJ's pre-marking robot for road markings (which was really cool, if you'll forgive me geeking out)
- EasyCabin/Gap Group's Ecosmart Zero self-powered site welfare cabins that produce zero carbon emissions
- Acre Frameworks' H&S Leadership Development program, which identifies key competencies for leaders - something everyone, not just H&S leaders, could learn from
- Thought-proviking talks about what Safer Infrastructure means for TfL, Costain and Jacobs, as well as what highways can learn from the sports industry
- The event app, which reminded me of where I needed to be when I needed to be there.
Overall I thought it was a well-organised event that I'll definitely attend next year.
